Age 18

Safiel is one of our oldest girls. She is 16 years old and came into our care as an orphan who was being taken care of by her grandfather. Once her grandfather died, her condition went from bad to worse and she had nowhere to turn.

Safiel is in high school and is excelling. She is very smart and aspires to be a nurse — mathematics and English are her best subjects in school. She loves playing games, puzzles and playing soccer. 

She is quiet but is breaking out of her shell and becoming her own woman. 

Safiel’s favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 6:1. Among the enormous bible stories, the story of Cain and Abel is her favorite. 

On the weekends, Safiel does her laundry, plays “stone ball” and attends the LOA Baptist Church on Sundays. 

Safiel is bright and strong. We love the leadership she brings to Princess Promise.
